Polar

I brought myself a Polar Heart Rate monitor today. Considering I am not an exercise junkie this was a risky purchase for me. Poor Steve is desperate to be supportive so off we went to Rebel Sports. I brought a Polar FT4. Yesterday I did a 3.3km walk in 45 minutes so off I went for another one at lunch time. At one stage I thought I was going to vomit and the watch was beeping at me to slow down so I was convinced I was going to have burnt 500 calories. To my horror I had only burnt 345! How on earth am I going to burn 1000 calories on SS?

    You did 345. Be proud.

    You can't expect to hit your goal before we even start!

    Maybe this could be one of your goals in Preseason Task 3. By the end of 3 months, you want to be able to hit *** a day *** times a week.

  2. One step ahead of you Mel :) My goal for month one is to have completed a 1000 calorie workout! Can't wait... My goal for the end of the challenge is to be completing them weekly!

  3. Gosh, what's SS? You sound like you are going great guns! I aim to walk to K's kindy (Baptist church on Glendale) and back home which is 3.5k... normally 20 mins each way when I am alone/with stroller, but around 35 mins with K.
